with the change of the weather comes a change of a style. let’s get you hip to a few hairstyles that your 4C hair will love this holiday szn: 


half-up, half-down 


get a full cute look for only half the effort!

 

 

what you’ll need: 


step 1: on freshly cleansed and conditioned coils, apply the too soft leave-in conditioner throughout your 4C hair

step 2: using the bristle brush, section the top half of your kinks off. secure this section using one hand; using your other hand, twist your kinks into a ponytail with the hair tie.

step 3: apply the too slick styling cream to your coils to adjust and style as desired.


high puff


let’s take your kinks to higher levels.


this is a super sweet style to wear for practically any and every occasion! 

 

 

need to get in a quick workout? high puff. want to show up and show out for date night? high puff. running errands and stepping deeper in your bag? high puff!


what you’ll need: 


step 1: on freshly cleansed and conditioned coils, apply the too soft leave-in conditioner throughout your 4C hair.

step 2: using the bristle brush, smooth your 4C hair upwards into a large puff. (don’t forget to brush the kitchen upwards as well!)

step 3: secure your coils by wrapping the super long elastic band around twice the puff. 

step 4: apply the too slick styling cream to your edges and use the bristle brush to carefully smooth them upwards.

(optional) step 5: secure 4C ONLY clips on the front or back of your puff for additional styling!


cornrows with a twist


one, if you’re a fren who can cornrow your own hair...props to you. we see you!


two, this is a cool and collected style that fits perfectly with the laid-back vibe that cooler weather brings.

 

 

*heads up, fren: this style works best on medium-to-long 4C hair!


what you’ll need: 


step 1: on freshly cleansed and conditioned coils, apply the too soft leave-in conditioner throughout your 4C hair.

step 2: follow up with applying the too slick styling cream throughout your 4C hair.

step 3: using the fine-tooth comb, section out parts of your 4C hair, working from the front to back.

step 4: carefully cornrow each section of your hair. once completed, use a hair tie to pull the ends of all the cornrows together into a small low bun.

step 5: take the Marley hair out of its pack and carefully fluff out the strands. using a hair tie, twist and loop in the bundle of Marley to where it’s attached to the tie. 

step 6: repeat step 5 with the second pack of Marley hair (optional)

step 7: using the hair tie attachment, secure the Marley hair ponytail around the small low bun. 

step 8: repeat step 7 with the second Marley hair ponytail (optional) 


flat twist-out


don’t let the name fool you! your kinks and coils will be full of volume and life after rocking this easy protective style.

 

 

what you’ll need: 


step 1: on freshly cleansed and conditioned coils, apply the too soft leave-in conditioner throughout your 4C hair.

step 2: follow up with applying the too slick styling cream throughout your 4C hair.

step 3: using hair ties, section your hair into 4 equal parts. (two in the front, two in the back.)

step 4: working through each section, flat-twist your hair into individual twists.

step 5: after keeping your hair in flat twists for a day or two, carefully take down the twists. fluff and separate each twist to your styling desire.
